Bereavement

Bereavement is the period of grief and mourning after a death. It’s a normal part of the process of reacting to a loss. Mental and physical reactions and experiences can vary, as can the length of the bereavement period, especially when the loved one dies suddenly and unexpectedly as is the case with suicide. It is important to allow yourself to express, rather than ignore or suppress, these feelings of grief. Grieving is an important and healthy part of the bereavement process.
