Simon Witt

Simon was born on June 16 1986. He was a beautiful little boy with a huge appetite and always had a smile for anyone. He was a typical little brother to his older sisters, Bec and Sarah, playing with their dolls like they were soldiers at war. Simon enjoyed the social and sporting activities at school.

While he did not excel at reading, writing and achieving good grades he was very artistic. Simon enjoyed soccer and athletics representing the school at zone, regional and state levels. Simon was always the one who would take the dare and do what others would not and so was always in trouble at school.

Even though he managed to be in trouble most of the time he was still a sensitive and caring person who would not hurt anyone or anything. After school Simon tried many occupations from working at MacDonald’s, landscaping, bricklaying, Dominoes Pizza delivery, working at the snow and domestic work for his Mum.

Simon loved to cook and enjoyed making up his own recipes. Simon enjoyed the friendship of others having a large circle of friends who he would bring home on a regular basis. Many a night the microwave and stereo got a workout.

Unfortunately Simon got involved with drugs and we did not realize that it had become a major problem for him. On February 24 2008 Simon hung himself and now we are left with the “if onlys” and precious memories of our beautiful Simon. He also left his girlfriend and close friends.

Simon’s corneas, heart valves and pulmonary valve were able to be donated to help improve the lives of some other people.
