Scott David Schulz

Our son Scott was such a blessing to us when he was born in 1986. We had 3 daughters and he was our only son. He was the cutest boy with a beautiful smile and a head of blonde hair. As a boy he loved to build things, he had a large collection of lego and he was always putting some new kit together. He loved to play games with his sisters. He was willing always to be the patient if it was hospitals or the customer if his sister was the shopkeeper.

Having 3 sisters meant he was often the subject of fashion experiments with clothes and hair. Scott’s love of electronics was apparent at an early age. He would use any box he could find and construct it into a mini house with working doorbells and lights.

Electronics remained important throughout Scott’s life, as he took up an apprenticeship as an electro-sound technician when he left school.

Scott’s sporting love was hockey and he enjoyed snow skiing.

Scott had a love of practical jokes. .Only the week before he died ,he played a joke on his friend by setting all the clocks in the house forward 2 hours so that his friend arrived at his work two hours too early.

Scott had many friends. He loved socializing and inviting people around to swim in the pool.

Scott was able to have meaningful conversations with anyone no matter what age. He genuinely liked people and was interested in them.

This was the case right up to his death and demonstrated when over 700 people attended his funeral.

Scott’s 18th birthday was a happy occasion. He had a party at home, surrounded by his friends. The highlight for him was our gift to him. It was to go skydiving.

We will always remember the look of happiness and exhilaration he had on his face when he landed and his words “that was awesome”

If only Scott knew how many lives he touched and how much he meant to so many people. Scott’s memory will always be with us and he will never be forgotten.

In Special Memory Of Our Dearly Loved Scott

“If only” we always seem to say,
We’d been there for you that fateful day,
We could’ve saved you from that terrible plight,
And taken your life to a different height.

But sadly that just wasn’t to be,
We don’t know why and we’ll never see
Why we couldn’t turn back time,
So you’d still be here and you’d still be mine.

Twelve months have passed since that tragic day,
We just can’t believe it all happened this way,
There was so much we knew you could achieve,
If only you’d stayed and didn’t leave.

So much pain and anguish we’ve all been through,
Soul searching and heartache because we long for you,
How hard it is to live life this way,
So we pray for strength every single day.

We pray your spirit is soaring high
And that God is with you every day and nigh,
You are forever in our thoughts and heart
Because in our life you played a big part.

To us you will always be precious and dear,
Never a day passes without a tear,
A son, a brother we all adored,
And for your life we thank you Lord.
