HomeThe Lifekeeper Memory QuiltGoldie Bryks

Goldie Bryks

Goldie was a young woman with a natural beauty that drew attention wherever she went.

Her laughter and what we called her “power smile” filled our lives and those lives she touched with magic. Goldie was an independent spirit- eager to learn and discover.

Animal lover, poet, aspiring actor, talented writer far beyond her years, loving daughter, granddaughter and faithful friend.

Her love of animals became a lifelong commitment.

Time and time again she rescued animals and to this end the Toronto wildlife centre in Canada now has a specialised outdoor treatment enclosure built in her honour.

Her photo graces this enclosure with the words:

“She fought for mercy for animals
Could not stand harm to come to them
May her spirit give sanctuary and peace”

Goldie never liked goodbyes and always said “see you soon”
