Darren Hawley

Hello my name is Darren

I am the firstborn son of Faye & Brian Hawley. I have one brother & four sisters. Mum says I was a gorgeous baby perfect in every way, & loved by everyone especially my nanna Joan. I had nanna Joan wrapped around my little finger very early in my life.

I grew up very quickly as I was the big brother to all these girls; oh it was so good when finally I had a little brother. I was your very typical big brother annoying all the others at every opportunity, sometimes I’d even go out of my way to annoy them. This was my way of telling them that I loved them dearly.

My teenage years were spent eyeing off girls, driving racecars & then dating girls. I finished school at the end of year 10 got my drivers licence & a car so I could take the girls out (oh it was a mean lean lovin’ machine). My next step was my truck licence so I looked even better for the girls. I was never short of girls I was a real chick magnet.

For many years at Christmas I could be seen on the back of dad’s ute dressed up as Santa yelling Merry Christmas at the top of my voice & throwing lollies to the little ones. I attracted more girls when dressed as Santa as they all wanted to sit on Santa’s knee.

My first son was born in 1994, I just loved being a dad to Dillon & doted on him for as long as I could. I married in 1996 & went on to have two more sons. At the time of my passing I had my own home & operated a small business.

Mum reckons that I was a real character, loved by all who knew the real me. I think she might be a bit biased, what about you?

I send angel hugs to all my family & friends.

Love Darren
